Rügen – Naturerbe Zentrum

Spread the love

The island of Rügen is a year round tourist magnet with a long and impressive history. Rügen is located along the Baltic Sea cost in northeastern Germany, close to the eastern border. The treetop walk is rather nicely done, and mostly of wood. The ascent is gradual and easy, really barrier-free and fully wheelchair and stroller accessible, similar to its sister properties such as the Baumwipfelpfad Saarschleife, Steigerwald or the Baumwipfelpfad Bayerischer Wald. The walk gives you a different view of the beautiful forest, and a nicely explained little expositions along the way. There is lots to do for children! Also the exhibition at the entrance is nicely done, both for adults and kids.
